JENE

Jene has worked as a tax lawyer in Malaysia with experience in providing specialist tax advice on matters such as income tax, withholding tax, capital gains tax, real property gains tax, stamp duty, sales tax and service tax. She has also advised on international tax matters and cross-border merger & acquisition transactions with the goal of optimising clients' overall tax position and business model. 

In addition, Jene also has experience in transfer pricing matters including assisting multinational companies across various industries in the preparation of audit-ready global transfer pricing documentations and Master Files. She has also advised on the applications for a bilateral advance arrangements with respect to high-value inter-company transactions.

Jene studied Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) at the University of Leeds and went on to pursue the Bar Professional Training Course at City, University of London. Subsequently, she was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2018 and admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2020. Thereafter, she studied a Masters of Law (LL.M.) specialising in International Tax Law at King’s College London. She is fluent in English, Malay, Mandarin and Cantonese.
